NEWS - DURANTE IS GOING GREEN

Durante is committed to "going green":
We have initiated a fleet management tracking system which monitors mileage, speed, routes and idling times
Fleet management – monitoring oil samples to lengthen time between oil changes to minimize oil consumption
Utilize a waste oil furnace to heat our building which recycles oil and reduces the need for outside sources for disposal
Our entire facility has been updated with energy efficient fixtures and lighting. Added skylights for natural light as well as a new insulated roof to reduce heating requirements
Initiated an in-house recycling program. All waste materials from our job sites are reclaimed, remanufactured and re-used
Reduce trucking using on site reclaiming methods
Our only waste products are roots and scrap iron, which are sent to local recycling centers

Reduce / Reuse / Recycle:  We are seeking sources for renewable materials such as utilizing used driveway and road base material to create a useable driveway base. In the office we have switched to recycled paper products and environmentally friendly cleaning products which have never been animal tested. We have purchased a new sweeper to maintain our topsoil yard and control and minimize dust and debris.

Durante is committed to “going green” by continually updating our Fleet in an effort to meet current level 3 emissions EPA requirements.

We have purchased a portable “crusher” recycling system. With this machine we are able to make our own recycled process aggregate material to be used for driveway base and backfill materials. We can also produce 1 ¼” crushed stone for use in drainage projects.
